Deb Brown served as Managing Director in the Asset and Wealth Management Practice of Russell Reynolds Associates (RRA) for 25 years, retiring in 2021, topping off a 30+ year career in executive search and assessment.  Brown was well known in the allocator community as one of the top recruiters for chief investment officer talent.  During her time at the firm, she completed searches for senior executive leadership and key investment roles including Board Directors, CIOs, Directors of Research, Investment Strategists, Portfolio Managers and Security Analysts for an array of financial institutions, corporations, family offices and asset owners around the globe. 

Brown began her career with the American Express Company as a Financial Analyst after completing her MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.  Later, Brown was with Goldman Sachs where she worked as an internal financial consultant supporting the Equities Division. 

Since retiring, Brown remains extremely active pursuing a variety of leisure and volunteer activities.  Deb works with her local Food Pantry as well as Hire Heroes, where she offers career counseling and job search advice to military veterans and their families looking to transition to civilian life.  In addition, Deb remains affiliated with RRA in a part time capacity, focusing on evaluating quality delivery and execution of the firm’s consulting engagements.
